First of all hi to all members of this great forum and sorry in advance if my question's been answered already, but i haven't found something.

i have a MacBook Pro (Intel Core i7 2.80GHz, 4 GB DDR3) and i would like to transfer my DVDs to it, after edit them ("throw away" the trash and keep the useful parts).
My DVD player is the Philips DVDR5500 - DVD Recorder.

edit: reason i want to do this is because DVDs from that DVD Recorder wont play in my MacBook. They are blank. They play on DVD Player though.

What hardware exactly will i need for connecting the DVD to my MacBook?

thanks in advance.
QUOTE Thanks
