My Macbook Air just started to periodically download some things onto my desktop. The download box will open and then there are normally about 10 things downloaded onto my desktop but they simply read "blank-1 17-11-36.aspx." It will look like a piece of notebook paper with them and then the writing is underneath.

Does anyone know what is going on?

I don't know what is going on, but you can try downloading OnyX which is a free program that you can download for mac. It allows you to clean up recent downloads and also internet cookies, download cache, etc. It also helps to check the system start up.

You can review it online on google. When you are ready to try it just go to their website: Download OnyX for Mac - Mac OS X maintenance and optimisation tool (beta available). MacUpdate.com
