My powerbook cd drive is broken.

I have had a powerbook G4 since February. Nothing has gone wrong with it before, but just a few minutes ago, when I tried to insert a cd into the slot drive, I couldn't. The cd get blocked by something that it hits up against in the drive, keeping it from getting it sucked into drive. I restarted it just because I can't think of anything else to do. Anybody have any other ideas of what can be done before I call Apple? Thanks.

Is there a CD already in the drive?

Try resetting the PRAM and the Power Manager. If that doesn't work, call Apple.
