Can we run 1333 on a mac running 1067 memory ?
As title, can we run the faster ram on the slightly older memory?

Macs are very fussy about using the exact memory modules. Having said that, some folks have reported they were able to use faster memory while others said it caused problems. You'll just have to try it in your machine to see if it works OK.

    iMac i5 2.7GHz, 16GB memory, OS 10.11.1.
And the faster memory, if it is compatible, will only run at the 1067MHz rate so if you have to purchase it, additional cost may well be a waste of cash.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
