Cannot Connect to Internet

So, my Macbook Pro says it is connected to our home wireless network, and will connect to things like skype, but will NOT connect to safari, google chrome, software update etc. Any ideas on what may be wrong? All of my PCs are connected and will connect to internet. And I've tried the whole restart and reboot thing. Any help would be MUCH appreciated as I do ALL of my work on my Mac, and I'm somewhat down for the day!
