So I picked up a BookArc and I want to use my laptop on my Sony Tv. I have the cable that goes from the MBP that converts to HDMI. I get the picture up and its great. The problem I have is why dont I have audio? I dont need to run other wires do I?
(The HDMI cord in plugged into my HDMI in on the Tv) |

You need to adjust the settings for audio output. With the HDMI plugged in and the TV on go into system preferences > sound > output > and select HDMI. After that any time you connect it to the HDMI cable it should just automatically switch over, at least that's how mine has always worked.
