I just hooked up a new 27" ViewSonic monitor to my Macbook Pro...I like the dual monitor feature, but am wondering how to set up the larger 27" monitor as the main screen and the laptop as the secondary....is this possible?

Go to system preferences - displays - arrangements and you can set them up how you like. I believe if you move the top white bar over to the larger display, that is what makes it the main screen.
