right speaker wont work

for some reason when i was traveling today my right speaker just went dead...

any ideas?

New powerbook, 1.67 1.5 gb ram,

for some reason overall performance has really diminished..

Hardware test CD... run it not sure if it does sound but it should check your logic board for trouble. (Hardware test CD is the reinstall OSX cd insert into powerbook restart powerbook while holding down the C key, test page should load)

were you using it and then it went dead or were you using the computer and then left it there, and when you came back it was not working.. if you left it and came back.. did any body fool aroudn with your volume settings?

I have a similar problem with my 15" 667mhz, except it's the left speaker that's not really working.. It sounds like it is, but it's really quiet.. However, I think I might know the problem.. Seeing as how it's right above the PCMCIA slot, I think it disconnected the wire that goes to the speaker, because I had a hard time getting my wireless NIC card into the slot, then I looked in, and there was this headphone-style jack on a wire that was dangling inside.. Any ideas?
