Macbook Pro dimming issue

When I'm using my computer, if I click on "Login Window" like how Windows has "switch user" my screen will turn on again after I fully dim it. Is there something wrong with it? I have the Mid-2010 model.

Problem:

After I click "login window", I turn down the screen brightness all the way to zero. Then after a minute, the screen turns on slightly by itself, after about 5-10 minutes it goes away and turns off.

Anyone else have this issue?

Do you have automatically adjust screen brightness checked in displays in system preferences as this will over ride your manual setting ?

I just removed the check in the box but it still does it.
