so im trying to upgrade to 8gb, im looking for the fastest possible ram.. any ideas?

It's compatible. However, I don't recommend memory from NewEgg. My recommendation is buy either from RAM Memory Upgrade: Dell, Mac, Apple, HP, Compaq. USB drives, SSD at Crucial.com or from the folks at Other World Computing (Mac Sales) LINK. I and many other folks here have purchased memory upgrade kits from Mac Sales. Their memory is top notch and service is great.
