When the computer was new I could click anywhere on the track pad to do things & now I have to search for the right spot for the click to work. I hate the soft touch to click because it always works without me wanting it too....Any suggestions on a fix.....

It might help to let us know what model MacBook you have...since significantly different trackpad styles have been used in the last 5 years.

But if you're talking about the newer style trackpad (where there is no "button" for "clicking" & the whole trackpad can be pressed to "click")...the best place to press is near the bottom...since the trackpad is "hinged" at the top.

Of course there always is the possibility that there may be an issue with your trackpad. If it's still under warranty...Apple may replace it for free...and if not...you may need to replace it yourself.

Awesome...glad to hear that you still have Applecare...thus can get Apple to look at it for free (and maybe get it repaired as well if need be).
