Dear All,
I am trying to find out which hard-drive to install in order to upgrade my current 13" MacBook pro from mid 2009. I have had a look at a couple of things but there appear to be some issues e.g. with the Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9500420AS drives (Beware of the Momentus 7200.4 ST9500420ASG - Seagate Community Forums)

Does anybody have any experience with hard drive upgrades that have worked? Can anybody suggest brands and models?

thanks...

Johan

You'll get pro and con on just about any hard drive. Generally, the popular makes like WD, Hitachi, and Seagate are OK. As a matter of fact, the new iMac models come with a Seagate drive installed. (mine did)

Go to Other World Computing and shop around. They're Mac specialists and stock the best line of drives available.
