Hey everyone. I dropped my MacBook on the ground a few months ago and unfortunately, the screen cracked. I used it for several months until I got a new MBP for graduation. It just looks like the glass is cracked but the upper right corner has a slight dent, so I'm not sure if just glass replacement is even an option. Not knowing about repair costs, I'm don't really know how to price this machine. In addition to the screen, there is an area to the left of the touchpad that has apparently corroded and there are also two dents (don't ask about those
). On the back of the screen (side with apple logo), the actual plastic logo has come unglued and moves around and there are a few dents and scratches. With it being beat to **** and back, I'm simply not sure a fair price for someone to buy in its current condition. I was offered $125 but think it's worth at least $200 if not a little more unfixed. As far as specs, its 2.4ghz with 4gb ddr3 ram (Crucial), integrated Nvidia GeForce 9400M with 256 MB shared with main memory, and the standard 250gb HD. I'll try to upload pics tomorrow or as soon as I can; my dad's partner took it to an repair shop to see about costs and value (they are the ones that said $100-125) so I don't have it on hand. Thanks for any help! |

As an example, I recently bought a used 2008 2.4 Macbook in very good condition at online auction for US$600 equivalent. Given there is strong demand and limited supply of used Mac laptops, that price is probably higher than you might expect to pay in the US. ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ Please post your Mac (or other) specs and MacOS version in your post, your profile or your signature. It helps us to help you better. I'm leaving now to go and find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait.
