07-25-2011, 01:21 AM #1MacBook Pro Minidisplay to HDMI help NEEDED!
Okay guys, I got a mini display to hdmi adaptor and hooked it up. I LOVE how it looks BEFORE I mirror the image, because it looks like it takes full advantage of my HDTV, but I cannot see anything on the screen such as my Dock or Desktop.
When I do mirror the image, I hate how everything looks so blown up AND the top and bottom of the screen are cut off on my TV (I can't see the toolbar and the bottom of the dock) and I have black bars on each side of the screen.
Is there a way I can get my MacBook Pro to cooperate with my TV without mirroring the screen?

Not really sure what you mean by "cooperate".
But have a look here in post # 2, item # 3 for a brief rundown. You probably also want to read item # 2 in that same post.I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
