Apologies if this is a stupid question as I'm a Mac newbie.

On a 2009 Macbook Pro running Leopard when I drag and drop a folder of mp3s or photos it copies the individual files not the folder with the files inside. I can create a new folder to drag them into, but this seems like hard work to someone used to windows.
Is this normal or can I fix it?
QUOTE Thanks
