I'm quite new to macbook, i just buy my macbook 2 days back. I want to know what is the best method to protect the macbook battery
1) disconnected power cable just after fully charged or 2) continue plug the machine even though battery is fully charged (if I do this, is it overcharging the battery) please tell me, thanks. |

It wont hurt to leave it plugged in. To help retain/extend the life of your battery, let it go down to the red level about once per month, and then do a full recharge.
Mac is like a car, keep clean and up to date and it will give you many hours of good driving |

The new Mac Books have a pretty sophisticated battery and battery charging system. You can read about it at the link below. I think you will find some good information.
Apple - Batteries - Notebooks The older Mac Books could also have their batteries re-calibrated. However the new ones come pre-calibrated therefore it's not necessary to do it to the new ones. The link below talks about the re-calibration.
