Unable to charge MB

Hello. My wife's 2008 MB will not charge. The adapter doesn't light, and the one from my MBP will not light either. Both chargers work on my machine. I replaced the DC control board, but that didn't solve the problem. It could be that I got a bad part, but that doesn't seem too likely. I have replaced the battery and the charger in the past, but not recently.

It's unlikely the DC input control board is bad if you purchased it new. It's possible that it wasn't installed correctly. I assume you went back over the installation and checked it?

I now have a Macbook pro. Our almost three year old son is probably already more proficient than us.
