Problems with MATSHITA DVD-R Double and DVD Dual layer writing.

Hello everybody I have (see bottom) superdrive, I use Toast Titanium, but I can't write DVD double layer and I can't write DVD Dual layer. I tryied laser cleaner, after that nothing happens. It's not possible to write any DVD-Double or DVD-Dual layer. Where is the problem? Please Help me with that. Thanks.

Sounds like you have a failed optical drive. Is this in a MacBook or iMac as these seem to go through optical drieves quite often? Just do a check of the forums.

Alas dmt they use a minaturised optical drive. If you go through the forums you will find many, many posts about MB, MBP and iMacs with failed Matshita drives. One reason why use Pioneer drives.
