I use Roxio Toast Titanium to burn discs and other than the drive occasionally refusing to give a disc back, I've never had any issue with it burning discs. But suddenly, it's burning one faulty DVD after another. It seems if I burn one at about half capacity, it'll be fine, if I do about 3-3.5GB about 1/4 of the data will error, and a full disc the entire thing will be unreadable.
I haven't changed anything with the software and I'm using the same pack of discs that I've used without issue for the last year. Any idea what might be going on? |

Sounds like the optical drive is failing or the lens may be dirty. Buy a can of compressed air at Radio Shack or other electronic store and use to blow a couple of blasts inside the drive. If that doesn't work, it may be time to replace the drive.
