Hey everyone, I just picked up an ibook G4 1.33ghz 14". This is my first mac,and it was basically free. I added a 1gb memory stick, the ibook works great, I added leopard 10.5.8.
The problem is: When I unplug the ibook, I can use it on the setting "Better energy savgings" for a long time. BUT, the second I switch it to "Better performance" It shuts down and the battery will go from 100% to 1% in the second I switch to the better performance settings. If it is plugged in, I can use the better performance settings no problem. Here is the battery info after running the command in terminal. "IOBatteryInfo" = ({"Capacity"=62126,"Flags"=4,"AbsoluteMaxCapacity" =4400,"Voltage"=14472,"Current"=61778,"Amperage"=1 8446744073709550564,"Cycle $ It seems the battery is over its capacity and way over in amperage. Should I replace the battery? |
