hey, folks,
I'm interested in exploring my monitor options for my 4 year old MB3.1. specs: 2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo 2 GB mem Chipset: GMA X3100 Max Rez: 1280x800 VRAM: 128 MB I know it doesn't support the new miniDisplayPort technology which came out in late 2008(correct?), but I'm still interested in investigating an ideal monitor for this older, but quite faithful machine. Perhaps since the technology's more dated, I could find a dated (and possibly used) 21-24" monitor (widescreen? flatscreen?) in good condition for a reasonable pricetag. Anyway, any help/guidance would be much appreciated. And if this is just a fool's errand, you can say so, but phrase it nicely, yeah? ![]() Thanks ps: and yeah, I'm aware of Atlona's converter doohickey that adapts the signal, but I'm not interested in shelling out the extra dough b/c my rez is limited and can't make full use of displays with that technology anyway....but i digress... |
