I would like to feed the video from my Air to my 24" PC screen. The HP monitor only has one SVGA but does also have HDMI. My HDMI is open but I can't find a solution at the Apple store.

Maybe I don't have any option at all for external video on the Air???? I'm starting to feel that way. Not the end of the world as I bought the Air for the mobility.

I'm not sure I understand what the difficulty is? If the HP monitor only has a VGA and HDMI input, then you'll need an adapter that matches. Are you sure your HP monitor only has those two? It should have a DVI input also.

Apple sells adapters for your MacBook Air so that you can attach an external monitor - VGA, DVI. Other on line resellers also sell the same adapters and much more. Monoprice.com has a variety of adapters at good prices.

You are absolutely correct. I was thinking it did not have the ext. monitor outlet and I needed to come out the USB, which I knew that was not going to happen. Sorry for the newbie question.

Monoprice is great. Recently built out my mancave and dropped a small fortune with Monoprice in the process.
