Trying to recognize a new Seagate External Hard drive (3.0 to 2.0) and it does not come up on my device list. thx |

The reason it's not mounting is because it is not yet formatted for Mac. From Disk Utility you can reformat to Mac OS extended (journaled), and it should then show up no problem.
