When powered up I get a White screen, and a flashing folder icon with a ? In it. I have tried readying and battery out , waiting for 10mins and then repowering up. Still same thing happens.

Give this a shot and let us know what happens:
  1. Turn on your computer.
  2. Immediately hold down the Option key.
  3. The mouse cursor should then be displayed along with any bootable volumes.
  4. Select your MacBook's boot volume (usually called "Macintosh HD").
At this point, your computer should boot into Mac OS X from the hard disk. If this doesn't work, or your MacBook's hard disk does not show up then you may need to reinstall Mac OS X or perform further diagnostic tests.

Hope that helps, have a great day.
