I wanted to know since the 11 inch air memory is soldered on does the apple store carry inventory of both models with 2 g and 4g of ram or just the default. im thinking of getting one but would prefer the 1.4 with the 4g of memory. so im trying to figure out if i have to order.

My Apple Store stated they only carried the 2gb model & that you had to order the 4gb on-line. Not sure if it varies by location....

Depends on the store and what they have in stock. Call them first and ask.
