My Macbook Pro takes about 10 inutes to start a program if it ever does at all. This is the second time this has happened. On advise of the Apple store I bought the latest operating system end re-installed everything. Now, after two months it happened again. I tried to get help from an Apple genius in Dusseldorf but they were not motivated to lend any reason or help.
Does anyone have any idea what the reason could be and how to overcome it.
It is not caused by heavy programs, overfull trash folder, hard drive too full or a faulty program as far as I can see.

How long do you keep your MBP running for?
Check your Activity Monitor to see how much RAM is being used up or try and find out which programs are eating up all the RAM and CPU.
Try just restarting when it happens.
