I downloaded Xcode 3.2.5 from the apple website which says its for Mac OS X. I am using Mac OS X 10.6.4 and after I wasted 4 hours of my life downloading the 3.5 gb file I get it installed and try to open it and it wont work. It says it may not run with this version of mac and try updating the latest version but 3.2.5 is the newest I can find and I don't see any updates for it. Is there something that anyone knows that can fix this problem because I really need this program. Thanks guys.

You are better off posting Xcode problems on the Apple developer site

Do you have an exact error message? There is no reason that the most recent version of Xcode wouldn't be supported on the most recent version of OS X.
