Hi, I'm working off a Macbook 13" with OSX 10.5.8. Recent upgrades have left me in need of addition USB ports, and before running out and buying a hub, I wanted to see if there are any issues I might run into or things I should consider. I read somewhere that, if a hub is added, it should be used in the front built-in port (further from the screen)...

On an unrelated note, I have a firewire ipod cable that will charge my ipod but not display in on my computer. Solutions? Thanks

City living ain't for me.

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

It doesn't matter which USB port you plug the hub into, just make sure that you buy a powered hub, not a static one. Static hubs do not work well if at all, and can actually cause problems.
