I have a unibody macbook (late 2008) and I would like to compare with other unibody macbook (late 2008) users to see if it is just me or if my battery is starting to gain memory loss.

I have a late 2007 Macbook with a brand new battery and I am getting about 4.2 hours on it. I do not keep it plugged in all the time, once its charged I unplug it.

My battery is about a week old.

Battery "life" is dependent on so many factors...that posting "battery life" values is almost pointless unless specific preference settings & tasks performed while using the battery are mentioned in the post.

Also (IMHO)..."Battery Life"...is probably not the best term...since battery life could also refer to how long a battery lasts (number of months/years, or number of recharge cycles).

Battery "Runtime" on a single full charge is probably a better term.

The time your computer runs on battery is totally dependent on like 10 factors.

Battery cycle count
Screen Brightness
Backlit Keyboard
Wifi
Bluetooth
What you do

etc...
