Hello
i have a macbook pro 13" unibody mid2010 (model: macbookpro7,1). unfortunatly it's bin waterdamaged, and are outside warrenty in the country i'm living in, so no help from apple or retailer. i have some problems with the hardware. main problem is airport card is not installed. system profile only says:

Softwareversioner:
Menu: 6.2.1 (621.1)
configd plug-in: 6.2.3 (623.2)
Systemprofil: 6.0 (600.9)
Netværksindstilling: 6.2.1 (621.1)
AirPort-værktøj: 5.5.2 (552.11)
IO80211-familie: 3.1.2 (312)

also theres a problem when i shut down, the mac reboots, and it keeps waking when charing. I believe it's caused by the bad airport, cause when i unplug the cable to airport from the logicboard, the computer works fine. unfortunatly this is not a solution for me, cause the same cable also connects bluetooth and isight (and some lightsencors) and i need bt. (both bt and camera works just fine)

i allready run a apple hardwaretest, no probs found, but allso no airport card found. i also tried reinstall snow leopard (and updated it) but still no luck.

so. it seems like a hardware problem. it can be the logicboard, the airportcard (on this model its located in the led screen), or the cable between the airportcard and logicboard.

any suggestions what to do? is there a way to disable the airport card (hardware) without disabling bt and isight? (i have a usb wifi-n micro card, and i can live with this solution)

looking forward to hear your answars (and sorry for my english)
anders

Sadly after the water spill the computer may well be on the way out. Logic boards do quite often fail after getting wet as water + electronics = death. Cross your fingers and hope it keeps going and keep liquids well away from your MBP.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
