I was wondering if there was any rumors of an MacBook air update. It seems like the air up dates are really far apart. However they did lntentionally leave out the backlit keyboard. I sound stupid but I really want that feature. I missed out on it when I bought an aluminum MacBook before it was called pro. Then three months later they added the name pro to the thirteen inch MacBook line and added backlit keyboards for everyone. So I never got it.

The air appeals to me but I don't want to get burned again on the keyboard issue

Yeah...the last MacBook Air update was October, 2010 (3 months ago)...it might be a little early to be wondering about the next update.

I want the back lighting on the keyboard as well. That said, I went ahead and bought the most loaded 13" version they make. My thinking is that since I did this, they are guaranteed to release a new back lit version any day now (my luck). You're welcome!
