is there anyway to use my old macbook as a way to check on the house while im gone? (wanna check on my dog)

i was thinking setting up logmein on the laptop and just accessing it that way? would that work? are there any more elegant solutions?

i would prefer that it allows audio so i can tell if my dog is barking or whining

thanks all

I used to just record with iMovie, and watch it when I got home.

I use RemoteSight, which can be found here.

It is accessed from a browser anywhere. It has been the perfect solution for me.
