    MBA 13" Power issues
When I leave my MBA unattended and closed often when I come back it has turned itself off. This does not happen exclusively when the battery is low. It will always turn on without having to be plugged in first. It is highly frustrating. What should I do?

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Is it turning off, or just going to sleep?

It is turning off. It doesn't wake when keys are pressed or the mouse is clicked. I have to press the power button and then it does the whole boot up routine.

Are you waiting long enough to be sure that it hasn't gone into deep sleep before trying to power it on?
The MBAs go into deep hibernation to get that extended standby that they do.

If you are waiting long enough, I would try Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) and Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM

    Cheers mate.
It's all I could come up with

I've read about terminal commands to disable the hibernation, which I wouldn't want to do or advise others to do.
There are also the 3rd party solutions, but I'm not an advocate of those either.

Failing the above I'd want to have it looked at by Apple.

Best to stay away from terminal commands, however, there is at least one third party solution that I can recommend: It's called "Smart Sleep". It installs as a preference pane, free, and safe to use.
