    Narrow Icon Tiles
Just picked up this old Powerbook G4 (12" Aluminum) and the icons text underneath for some reason doesn't display much more than 2-3 characters. Anyway of getting these to expand and show more of the titles of folders and files? Running Leopard.

It's the grid spacing that decides how much text is shown under the icons.
Click on the Desktop, and press command+j. Then set the grid spacing to your liking.
