    MacScan: Good? Bad? Worth It? Not? TIA
    Is MacScan a) any good and b) worth $29.95? I'll use it on my MacBook Pro. Thanks in advance for your help.

    How about iAntivus. It's free. But be careful, keeping it on all the time. Once in a while it runs processes in the background spiking up the processors and generally heating up my laptop. I keep it off most of the time and only run an update and scan once in a while. I have 0 threat detected so far.

    Why would you want it?

    There really is no need for it, unless you don’t have an AV on a PC on your network.
