hey, i am new to the mac world. got a mac from a friend, but apparently the enter key is not functioning. I was wondering if there is a way to assign other keys to function as enter. Search all over online and can not find any information on this. Thanks in advance

Not that I'm aware of, but you could use the trackpad with the on screen keyboard to get around it.

No need to be sorry, we all were at your place once
It's in the menubar on the right, in the menu item that looks like one of these 2 icons .
From there you can open the Keyboard Viewer

If the menubar item isn't showing go to
System Preferences>Language & Text>Input Sources and check "Show input menu in menubar"
