Hello everyone! I'm new to Mac and new to the forum. I tried a search of the topic and found nothing so I hope you can help me. I do a presentations in Powerpoint and I need a good presentation remote that will work with Mac. I bought the Apple remote but it doesn't do what I need. Any suggestions?

What do you need the remote to do? In my experience, presentations rarely require little beyond going back and forth. You may have some specific requirements so we'll need to know what it is that you're looking for.

Now, what you need to do is change slides, photos, etc, Without walking up to your laptop and clicking it right? If so, a wireless USB mouse might be all that you need. Just get one with good wireless range.

You're right. Mostly I just need to change slides in PPT. Some remotes have a "blackout" key that darkens the screen so there is no image for redirecting the attention away from the presentation if needed. Most of the problem is that the Apple remote is infrared and if I'm walking around the room, the IR signal is blocked from the computer some of the time. Many times I'll be walking behind the computer so I really need a RF/bluetooth remote. In a perfect world, I'd like to find one with a green laser pointer built in as well. The red ones are OK but don't work well with many of my medical slides.

Thanks. Most of the info online doesn't say if they are Mac compatible. Anyone use the Interlink remotes? I've used them with a PC and they are great, but I don't know if they play nice with a Mac.
