Hey guys! I got problem few hours ago, I was working as usual, fine, perfect, then my electricity flashed (turned off and on in a second), my laptop was working normally, then I decided to reboot it, when I did it, it refused to start up.
After pressing Power button there is CDRom sound appear and u can hear that the HDD is working, Display is staying black and no boot is actually going, just like stuck in sleep mode. Tried to reboot SMC and PRAM but I think it didn't even worked, nothing changed, Help plz!

Spacial Offer! For that person who will help me to start up my macbook pro, I will send 15WMZ !!!

Firstly, try booting without the power chord plugged in.
If still no joy, maybe try booting in safe mode, and see if that brings it back to life.

Try unplugging and taking out the battery and pressing the power button to disperse any residue power. Insert battery and try again.

Try resetting PRAM (PRAM stores device information for display along with other devices) on boot. Example of how to do this is here: Mac OS X 10.6 Help: Resetting PRAM

I'm having almost exactly the same issue with my MacBook Pro.

I was using it yesterday evening and everything was fine. I shut the lid like I do every evening for it to go to sleep, but when I opened it this morning it would not wake up or respond. It was still on as there were normal whirring sounds emanating from it, but the screen never woke up at all.

I forced the power off, and ever since, no matter what I've tried, the boot sequence never proceeds even to the point of anything being displayed on the screen. I've tried resetting PRAM, that didn't help. I also disconnected the power and took the battery out and held the power down for several seconds and that hasn't changed the behavior either.

At this point, with battery in and power not connected, pressing the power results in a few seconds of a very soft whirring sound followed by what sounds like a little squeak as the harddrive shuts down. If I connect the power and try to turn it on, it will stay in the soft whirring state but nothing is ever displayed on the screen. I can disconnect power or hold the power button down for 5 seconds and it will shut off with the same harddrive shutdown squeak.

What might be my problem? Could this be a harddrive problem or must it be something else since I never see anything displayed on the screen?
