Hey guys,
I have a dead pixel on my mbp screen. I bought it last november on black friday, so it is still under warranty, but Ive heard up to 6 pixels need to be out for them to fix it. Its bothering me enough that Id be willing to pay to replace it. I was just wondering if anybody has had it done, and how much it wound up costing them. Thanks for any help.

The ifixit site sells replacement LCD screens and also has step by step instructions which you can download and follow if that's the way you wish to go. iFixit: The free repair manual

You might want to try this first though from the Wiki How...

You should have returned your MBP as soon as you discovered the dead pixel. Sometimes they'll exchange it anyway even if it is only one.

The dead pixel is right up where the menu bar is, so the pixel fix software wont work. Just my luck lol
