Hey guys/gals,

My macbook has recently developed problems with regards to what I can see on the screen. From start-up, the screen only displays lots of multi-coloured lines across the whole screen and depending on what the actual colours of the display should be, the lines change colour. It started where the lines eventually went away after say, 5 minutes. Then, as time went on (over a period of a few days) it took longer to go to the original screen to the point where all I can see is the lines.

My question is this:

Does anyone know what might have caused this? I have tried resetting the PRAM on start up and that hasn't made any difference. I am assuming that it would be either the graphics chip on the logic board or the display? (I can still use an external display from the output fine).

Here is a photo of what it looks like.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers!
QUOTE Thanks
