    MacBookPro4,1 new HDD and RAM
    Hi everyone,
    I have MacBookPro4,1 2.5GHz/4GB ram/8600GT-512MB/250GB-HDD MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.5 15" (08) Specs (Early 2008, MB134LL/A, MacBookPro4,1, A1260, 2198) @ - still on Leopard 10.5.8

...and I would like to put in it 500GB HDD and 2GB more of RAM.

    and there are few questions:
    - can I put 500GB 2.5" HDD in it?
    if yes...
    - SATA2 will work? or it has to be SATA1?

What RAM I should buy to make it run smooth?
Thanks in advance for all answers

Go to the Other World Computing site and choose a hard drive and memory from there. Since they're Mac specialists and resellers, you'll receive the correct hard drive and memory for your machine. BTW, your machine takes a SATA HDD.
