Hi all,

I've been a Mac convert for some 3+ years now since I bought my macbook during the second wave that came out but now my baby has, after many trials and tribulations thrown me a curve I can't seem to fix. It won't turn on. Now before I get the barrage of "did you make sure it's plugged in" etc. kind of questions, I have tried all of the standard approaches including:
-unplugging it, waiting plugging it back in
-Trying to turn it on with just the battery, without the battery and just the plug
-all the keyboard shortcuts that are supposed to reset the PRAM, etc.
-taken out the RAM, clean it, reinserted it, switched them around, tested both in either port
-I may have smacked it once or twice for good measure

Also, I've noticed that when I press the power button when the battery is in the orange light (seeing as how the battery has lost enough to not be at full charge) turns green for a moment and back to orange like when you do a normal restart.

Another thing I've noticed is that when I press the power button there is a slight clicking sound coming from near the monitor. It's not the HDD as I've had to replace that before and know what that sounds like. It might be the subwoofer clicking but I can't be sure.

So after that book, does anyone have any possible idea of what is wrong with my machine?

Welcome spiegelprime!

I'm sorry to say this but it seems you have to take it to the Apple Store to have it checked out.
A far as I know even if the RAM, HD, or Battery is dead the computer will still turn on and make some kind of error sound.

Stick it in the freezer and it may start up. The harddrive when chilled wants to protect it self, so it starts up.

Are you kidding? It will most definitely not self startup.
