Hey I have the Powerbook G4 17inch and the superdrive doesnt take the discs or well any discs anymore. I found someone online who is willing to give me his 12 inch for parts becuase the screen (possibly logic board is done). Would It be possible to take his superdrive and swap it with mine, CD/DVD/CDRW/DVDRW difference doesnt matter. I'm sure theyre all the same style x size of drives like laptops right?

Since you're getting it for free, go for it. I don't know for sure if it will work but as long as it's not costing you $, the only thing you'll be out is time.

Regards.

"giving it to me" for a price lol. He wants 150 for the whole thing x_x I may try to talk it down a little but thats why I'm trying to see if this drive works. If not ill pay the 35 etc on ebay and wait the few weeks for it.
