My MBP (A1211 model) is missing some hard drive mounting screws (the nub things that screw into the side of the SATA drive and protrude into mount points in the MBP chassis).

I was awestruck to discover that these four little screws are nowhere to be found on ebay and fetch a whopping $38 shipped new from ifixit and other retailers. (nearly $40 for four tiny screws ?!?)

Hard Drive Screws/Grommets Kit Pkg 5 Apple For: MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16/2.2GHz/2.33GHz/2.4GHz - 922-7978

I would like to know if anyone has found a more reasonable alternative - either a more reasonable source for the parts or a DIY type alternative?
QUOTE Thanks

Don't know if these will fit, but:
Hard Disk Drive Anti-Vibration Screws - 4 Pack Products Model: HDD-AV-SCREWS [HDD-AV-SCREWS] :, ... sleeve it and they will come
Or this which has more than you want, but is $14.95
Anti-Vibration PC Mounting Kit
Otherwise, a quick trip to a computer service centre should see the 4 screws in your hand for a few dollars.
QUOTE Thanks
