The advantage of using 64 bit Windows 7 is that it will recognize and use all the memory of your new MBP whereas the 32 bit version will only use approximately 3.5 GB. However, 64 bit drivers may be more difficult to find for all your hardware. Regards. |

I would recommend 64-bit for sure. Apple's own Bootcamp Driver package (included on software restore/OS disc) includes all the 64-bit drivers you'd need. Just fire up Windows 7 64-bit and put in your Apple software restore disc. It will install everything automatically and will also install Apple Software Updater to automatically grab updates in the future.
The one thing it won't do is make a Magic Mouse work properly. A quick Google search will point to some free drivers to fix this, though. Good luck! Roger Michaels Apple Certified Consultant |
