I don't know if this is normal, but if I close the lid on my MBP and lets say leave it in sleep mode overnight (not plugged in), the battery always seems to be 5-15% lower than before. Is this normal or should I maybe call apple?

Losing 1-2% each hour in sleep mode would be totally acceptable. Just keep track of it.... you can check out your battery condition, and how it rises and falls with Coconut battery coconut-flavour.com - [coconutBattery 2.6.6]
Also, be sure to calibrate your battery every few months, and if you didn't calibrate when you got it, now's a good time to start. I give a new battery 2-3 calibrations in a row.
