Thanks guys.

A new battery is $129, or $116 (-10%) with a student discount.

I'm going to get another battery for my iBook, once I get my Airport Express station (3-5 working days from now) I'll probably get through a lot of cycles so I'm going to get a battery just for college.

Does the pBook or iBook have hot swapping batteries? Ie, close lid, replace battery, open lid and it wakes from standby?

I should probably get another one pretty soon as well. College in August. Many charge cycles day after day prob. IDK about the ease of swapping the batteries, I've never had to do it before.

Congrats on the new PB! The 15" is really tempting. I have the 12" 1.33GHz PB, and I'm seriously tempted to upgrade.

Congrats on the new powerbook! You'll love it!

With the battery, shop around. I've seen batteries for the new Powerbooks at around $50. I've been planning on picking up 2 of them actually.

*drool*CS2*drool* Man, I wish I had CS2. I downloaded the trial of cs and it was great! I only have access to 7(which is still good) on my uncles G4(I think) that runs OS9.

Congrats on your PB,btw. By the end of next summer I'll probally have enough money for an ibook(intel?)

You have exactly the same specs as me including the extra battery and software! Except my 1GB extra RAM is from Crucial!

Thanks! I haven't gotten a chance to really do much with CS2 yet, but from what I've heard, it'll be great for what I'm doing. If you can wait until you're a college student to buy the full version of PS (or find a way to find the Education version), it's worth it. I just graduated HS and have already registered for Fall semester classes, and I was able to get PS CS2 at my school's book store for $300 (plus 5% ($15) off with a $7 student union sticker, haha). I love student discounts! :p
