Hi, got a new ibook and trying to use migration assistant to bring in all my calendar, applications, mail etc but my old ibook has a broken back light so you cant actually see the screen.
I get to stage 2 of the migration assistant (on new ibook) where you connect the firewire then restart old ibook holding down t-key. You can hear it (old one) fire up and see very faint fire wire image on screen but my new ibook just says waiting for old mac to restart and I cant get a any further. Also cant seem to 'see' old drive anywhere on desktop. Any ideas appreciated... |

Just a quick update, managed to get the migration assistant to find the old mac and it selected all items to transfer. It then said calculating... then that it had finished successfully but nothing has been transferred at all. It's really urgent as I go away tomorrow, please could somebody help?
