[Major Problem] can't empty trash

hi guys, yesterday i delete some of my apps via appzapper, after i close appzapper the files go to trash. i then click empty trash bbut after that, nothing happened, the trash is still there.

can any1 help?

btw, the only way to empty trash is by the superemptytrash, why can't i empty trash by mac's trash? is there a way to fix it?

What OS are u using? Is it a new install or did u buy a used Mac?

i am using OS X V. 10.6.3. yes this is a new install.

How about going into Disk Utility and Repair Permissions - see if that helps.

Do you get any error messages or alert sounds?
Also look at this this: You can't empty the Trash or move a file to the Trash

That's my question as well. Does anything happen when you try to empty it? It's possible that you either don't have permission to delete the files or empty the trash (ie. you don't have the proper permissions on the ~/.Trash folder).
