I have an ibook G4 (1.2 Ghz, 512mb RAM, 32mb vram) and unfortunately, my worst fears are coming to life! I think my logic board is going So here's my question, how much do you guys think I could get for this laptop if I sold it on ebay for parts or repair? I wanted it to make it through until I finished High School, but that will not happen. (I'm a Junior with 21 days left to go, so about another year.) So, I need to sell it and pick up a powerbook G4 until I can get my graduation gift, a year from now, which which will be a macbook. I'm involved with computers and depend on my laptop in about half of my classes, so I need a computer. my dad wanted this laptop when I was done with it, he uses old computers just for text and spread sheets so he doesn't need much. (he still has a computer with a turbo button!!!) So he would help pay for the powerbook and then take it when my whole family got me the macbook next year. So, I just need to know what I could get for this computer to help pitch in on the powerbook. So thanks for any help at all, I'm just really bumbed my beloved ibook G4 is Dying away! Oh yea, The apple on front is red if that would help sell it!

As it is on Ebay, you could expect £60-80 at most.
If you are handy with a soldering iron, or know someone who is, then get the offending chip soldered and the iBook will soldier on like new.
Here's a link to the soldering how to:
